Brixen/Bressanone: The Diocesan City at the Confluence of the Eisack/Isarco and Rienz/Rienza Rivers

Medieval backstreets, towers with their battlements, the ancient city gates… a walk through the medieval diocesan city of Brixen/Bressanone (about half an hour from our hotel) is a pleasant and fascinating journey through time. The diocesan cathedral with its cloister, the diocesan museum in the palace, the cozy courtyard garden, the cathedral square, the parish church of St. Michael, the White Tower – that's only a sample of the numerous sights to see in this picturesque old town. And the many cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and stores give this friendly city an attractive flair. The "Anreiterkeller" and the Forum offer great comedy, culture, and entertaining theatre.
