Pusteria Valley
The Pusteria Valley: A Verdant Valley with Fascinating Alpine Options
The Pusteria Valley is a special side valley in South Tyrol. It offers a wide range of holiday options which you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere in such a concentration. In the north, there are the majestic glaciers of the main Alpine ride, the lonely Ziller Valley Alps (Alpi Aurine,) the giants of the Rieserferner-Ahrn / Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park. To the south, there's the Rodeneck/Rodengo High-Altitude Meadow, the spurs of the Villnösser-Geisler/Puez-Odle, the Gröden/Gardena Dolomites and the Gader Valley / Val Badia Dolomites, the Fanes-Sennes-Prags / Fanes-Sennes-Braies, and the Sexten/Sestino Dolomites. The awesome natural scenery stands in contrast to the gentle, friendly character of the local inhabitants, the delicious cuisine, and the quaint city of Bruneck/Brunico, where you can go on an extensive shopping spree.
